What Sylvia Sanchez would do if mom got Alzheimer’s disease

What would Sylvia Sanchez do if her mom would be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease?

After portraying a character who has the disease in the Dec. 22, episode of “Maalala Mo Kaya”, actress Sylvia Sanchez suddenly thought of her own mother, Rosyline Campo. She made a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday, Dec. 23 about it.

So what would she do if the unthinkable happened?

Admitting that she was not a perfect child, she said she knows one thing for sure:  “[A]alagaan at alalagaan kita, hinding hindi kita iiwanan Mama (I will take care of you; I will never desert you, Mama).”

And if the thought of her mother forgetting her name becomes a reality, she said in jest: “[H]ayaan mong iiyak ako sayong harapan at yayakapin kita ng pagkahigpit higpit hanggang sa maubo ka nalang dhl hindi ka na makahinga.”

(Don’t worry, I will cry in front of you and hug you really tight until you cough because you cannot breathe.)

“Mama kita, ikaw ang nagluwal sa akin sa mundong to (You’re my mama, you gave life to me in this world),” she said. “Kahit anong mangyari walang makakapaghiwalay sa ating dalawa kahit alzheimers pa!!! (Whatever happens, nothing can separate us, not even Alzheimer’s!)”

According to the World Health Organization, Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. One celebrity mom who has the disease is Gloria Subong, actress-comedian Pokwang’s mother. JB
