Pokwang remembers time mother knew her name

It has been six years since comedienne Pokwang’s mother remembered her name.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Oct. 4, Pokwang recalled the moments when her mother was still able to recall her name and hug her with a throwback photo dated 2012.

“Panahon na alam mo pa pangalan ko at nayayakap mo pa ako ng ganito,” Pokwang wrote.

(The time when you still knew my name and hugged me like this.)

“Panahon na nabibigyan mo pa ako ng payo kapag nasasaktan ako at may pinagdaraanan sa buhay, i love you nanay Gloria ko,” she added.

(The time when you could still give me advice when I was hurt and was passing through a situation, I love you my mother Gloria.)

In 2016, Pokwang confirmed that her mother was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior.
