YouTube innovation grant for ‘Stand for Truth’

/ 12:40 AM December 23, 2018

GMA News and Public Affairs recently received an innovation funding grant from the leading online video platform YouTube.

The grant enables GMA News and Public Affairs to mount a major innovation project involving news. The winning proposal is “Stand for Truth: Powered by GMA’s Digital Video Lab,” a weeknight news program produced by and for the young. It will contain elements unused in traditional GMA newscasts.

It will be headlined by a young set of anchors, and will incorporate music, the latest in mobile journalism and new storytelling tools for online publishing. “Stand for Truth” is set to launch a month before the 2019 elections.
