Julia Montes ‘proud’ to be her father’s daughter
When it comes to Julia Montes’ moments with her father, it is the little things that matter the most to her. Montes first met her biological father, German national Martin Schnittka, in 2016 after years of praying to meet him one day.
Two years on, it is clear that the two are inseparable and cherishing the time each has with the other, with Montes often taking to her social media to share priceless bonding moments with her dad.
She took to social media recently to share just how much she loves and appreciates her papa, who just happens to be the sweetest man she knows.
“The sweetest Man I know… And I’m proud to be his daughter,” Montes wrote on Dec. 11. “Totoo pala ang kasabihan na sinasabi ng iba na ‘Gusto ko makahanap katulad ng Tatay ko…'”

“The next day, meron na sa breakfast table….” she said. “My sweetest Papa. My Gentle Giant.”
It took many years of praying and hoping, as well as moments of doubt and hopelessness, before Montes’ dream of meeting her father came to fruition.
She shared back in 2016 her unsuccessful search for her father through online leads, which led to her giving up and momentarily losing hope. God’s timing, however, is always perfect because in that same year, she got to meet him during Christmas season.
Today, she can finally say that she is her father’s daughter, and proudly so, as he is nothing short of a caring, loving and thoughtful man. /ra
