Julia Montes on close relationship with biological dad: ‘Dreams really do come true’

It was only in 2016 that actress Julia Montes first met her biological father, German national Martin Schnittka, after years of praying that she would meet him one day. It’s known that Montes grew up in the care of her mother, Gemma Hateau, and grandmother Flory after Martin left them when she was still a baby. Her parents are both deaf-mute.
Today, Montes has developed a close relationship with her father, as she regularly posts pictures of him on social media during their trips. Montes recently took to Instagram where she shared a picture of her with her father giving her a kiss on the cheek.
“DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE…” wrote Montes, obviously over the moon and grateful, on Oct. 25. “Every Europe trip mapa show or shooting sa ibang bansa lagi kong iniisip kailan ko kaya makikilala ang Papa ko…”

Montes shared to her fans that she didn’t lose hope and instead put her trust in the Lord that someday, she and her father would cross paths.
“Nanalig at naniwala lng ako na kapag para sakin ibibigay yun ng Diyos sa oras nya… Ngayon lagi ko na syang kasama samantalang pinangarap ko lng makita at makilala ang Papa ko noon.”
Montes shared back in 2016 that she had been looking for her father through online leads, but was unsuccessful. She prayed fervently to meet her father, before eventually giving up and losing hope.
But nothing beats God’s timing, it seems, as she wrote, “Habang tumatagal lalong lumalakas ang pananalig ko sa Diyos na ang lahat talaga ng nangyayari sa buhay natin ay may ibig sabihin kaya magantay at maniwala lng tayo sakanya.”
God’s perfect time—these are Montes’ favorite words now, as it encapsulates what she experienced with her father and family.
“Gaya ng paborito kong mga salita ‘God’s Perfect Time’ dahil para sakin this time with my Dad and my family here is always a (Perfect Time) at syempre Everything in God’s will is worth the wait.” /ra
