Kris Aquino still has got Vice Ganda’s back despite their friendship having had a falling out in the past.
The Queen of All Media defended the comedian after a netizen questioned his sincerity as a friend. This she did in one of her Instagram posts on Sunday, Dec.9.
Aquino shared that she and her sons, Josh and Bimby, had a visitor that day at their home—Darla Sauler, who was not only the media personality’s sidekick in the now-defunct morning show “Kris TV” but who also served as one of its writers.
“After taping, @darla visited us,” Aquino wrote in her post, in which she is seen cozy in bed with her sons and Sauler. She even mused, “It’ just so cute to see how ‘small’ Darla now seems next to Josh & Bimb. We missed Darla.”
While her followers showed how happy they were of their reunion, one netizen going by @jinna37415 said that Sauler was “more sincere than the baklang kabayo (gay horse),” referring to Vice.
In reply to the netizen, Aquino said, “I’ll address this once then we can all move on — it isn’t an issue w/ me anymore… I have never pretended w/ all of you that we are still close.”
She also described her former network, ABS-CBN, as a “very insular world.” “And once you’re no longer part of that family, you create your own new world to shine in,” Aquino added. “In a kinder world, I wouldn’t be spoofed, much like in a barkada (group of friends) you have inside jokes & you’re all in on it so you all get what’s funny… but I’m no longer part of the ‘in’ group.”
Aquino then told the netizen, “So let’s leave things as they are & just gratefully recall the happy memories.”

Aquino and Vice, who were the subjects of rift rumors since 2015, reconciled back in July for the sake of Bimby. The comedian never spoke about their reunion that day, as of this writing. /ra
