They say a person gets to know his or her partner better once they start living under one roof.

And it’s proving to be true so far for Max Collins, who has been married to fellow GMA 7 actor, Pancho Magno, for a year now.

One of the new things she has discovered about her husband, the actress related, is that he actually knows his way around the house better than she does.

“I didn’t know he was so domesticated! You continue to learn more about your partner as you go along,” she told the Inquirer at a recent press conference.

“Pancho is such a caring husband. He takes charge of the house and fixes what needs fixing. He does the groceries, and he can even cook!” added the 26-year-old star. “And he dotes on me.”

Max isn’t too confident about her kitchen skills, but she’s sweet and caring “in her own way.”

Lots of love

“I see myself as a thoughtful person. I make sure to help him out and give him what he needs,” she related. “And I give him lots of love!”

They will be flying to Melbourne, Australia, in February next year to visit Pancho’s sister, and perhaps take the opportunity to celebrate their first anniversary. The couple tied the knot on Dec. 11, 2017.

Are they already planning on having a baby soon?

“If it comes in the future, then we will be happy. But I don’t think now is the right time because I have an upcoming show,” she said.

Max is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Rainbow’s Sunset,” wherein she plays the young version of Gloria Romero’s character.

“I have always been a fan of hers. I looked for her old movies and clips on YouTube. And I was mesmerized by her beauty,” she said. “I don’t intend to copy her—that’s tough. I just want to emulate or exude the same aura. She’s always pleasant, kind, regal.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
