Cardi B breaks up with husband Offset

After 15 months of marriage, Cardi B and Offset have called it quits.

The hip-hop star surprised her fans by making the announcement in an Instagram video, where she revealed that she and her rapper husband have “fallen out of love.”

“It’s nobody’s fault… I guess we just grew out of love,” said Cardi, who rose to fame last year when her song “Bodak Yellow” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Cardi tied the knot with Offset, a member of the hip-hop and trap trio Migos, in secret last year. Last July, the couple had their first baby, Kulture. “You know I have been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” she said.

“We’re really good friends and we’re really good business partners. And you know, he’s always somebody that I run to or talk to,” related the 26-year-old artist, adding that a divorce “may take time” to get.

“We got a lot of love for each other,” Cardi said. “But things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
