MANILA, Philippines — Adam McKay’s “Vice” received most nods at the annual 76th annual Golden Globe Awards with six nominations.
Announced on Thursday, “Vice” landed six nominations in all major categories including Best Actor for Christian Bale and Best Director for Adam McKay.
It will compete in best musical or comedy race alongside “Crazy Rich Asians,” “Green Book,” “The Favourite” and “Mary Poppins Returns.”
“Vice,” a film on former US Vice President Dick Cheney, also landed nominations in Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
Meanwhile, “A Star is Born,” “Green Book” and “The Favourite” trailed close behind with five nominations each.
The 76th Golden Globes Awards is set to happen on January 6 at The Beverly Hilton, California. /muf
