WATCH: Joey de Leon, Ryzza Mae sing new ‘Bahay Kubo’ to mark ‘Eat Bulaga’ move to Cainta studio

Dabarkads Joey de Leon and Ryzza Mae Dizon celebrated the transfer of noontime TV show “Eat Bulaga” to APT Studios in Cainta with a song: their very own version of “Bahay Kubo”.

One of the things De Leon is known for is his ability to re-write lyrics of songs for comedic purposes, as exhibited by the video shared by Ryzza Mae via Instagram on Monday, Dec. 3. The TV hosts, clad in simple tops, appeared to be very relaxed as they belted out De Leon’s latest composition.

“Bahay bago natin Baste,” the song went. “Bago na istudyo natin ‘pag tanghali.”

The two sang about how dabarkads will be greeting their viewers from Cainta from now on. At the end of the song, De Leon and Ryzza Mae voiced out their two wishes: for them to have more “kainan” as well as “merienda” in the new studio.

Yesterday, Ryzza Mae recounted her unforgettable memories in the TV show’s former studio, Broadway Centrum. The child star, who was discovered after winning the show’s Little Miss Philippines title in 2012, thanked Broadway for being her second home in the past six years.

De Leon, meanwhile, marked his last day at the show’s former studio with posts showcasing toilet humor and wordplays. JB
