Katy Perry has topped Forbes’ 2018 highest-paid women in music list.
The pop star has earned an estimated $83 million between June 2017 to June 2018, largely because of her 80-date “Witness” tour and judging duties on ABC’s “American Idol” reboot.
Perry was followed by Taylor Swift with $80 million who rose from last year’s third spot thanks to her “Reputation” album which sold two million copies worldwide in the first week.
Swift’s “Reputation” tour, however, fell outside of Forbes’ scoring period this year.
Beyonce, who topped last year’s list, dropped to the third spot with $60 million.
She laid low after welcoming twins Rumi and Sir with husband Jay-Z in June 2017, but rose again after the “Beychella” performance at the April 2018 Coachella music festival. /cbb
