In the wake of his passing, Teejay Cruz has left his family and loved ones with happy memories, including his love for dance.
His mother Lynn Ynchausti shared videos today, Nov. 25 on Instagram of Teejay’s family dancing along to the song “Every Praise” by Hezekiah Walker yesterday evening, Nov. 24. At the front of the crowd, moving with vigor was Teejay’s dad, actor Tirso Cruz III.
Ynchausti said the song was her late son’s favorite song and that he continued to worship God even when he was in the hospital. In one of her posts today showing a video of the dance, she said, “And I know my son, you are dancing this in heaven!”
The dance was part of a tribute called “Celebration of Life” to rejoice in memory of Teejay, who was 37 when he succumbed to lymphatic cancer on Nov. 21.

The 1990s actor has no doubt left many in grief over his loss, but his family — and the extended Cruz clan — has chosen to highlight the joy he gave during his life and the fact that he is no longer in pain.
Teejay is survived by his parents and younger siblings Bodie and Djanin. JB
