WATCH: Slideshow shows Kris Aquino filing complaint at DOJ

“Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino on Thursday shared a slideshow of photos showing her filing a criminal complaint against lawyer Jesus Falcis, brother of her ex-project manager at the Department of Justice (DOJ).

In an Instagram post, Aquino shows her photos filing the complaint with the song “True Colors” playing in the background.

The complaint was filed  against Falcis, a brother of her former project manager, Nicardo Falcis II, for cyber libel or the violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The complaint stemmed from Jesus Falcis’ posts on Twitter and Instagram defending Nicardo. Aquino said the posts tarnished her reputation and that of her family.

Aquino’s post also featured a statement from Aquino’s lawyer, Ricky dela Cruz of Divina Law, saying that Aquino’s legal action was the “right thing to do.”

“Ms. Kris Aquino opted to respond to the malicious accusations hurled against her through the legal process because she believes that this is the right thing to do,” the statement read.

“Ms. Kris respects our prosecutors, and she now leaves it to them to start the legal process. We believe that Ms. Kris Aquino will get justice because the truth is on her side,” it  added.

The post has gained almost 145,000 views in less than three hours. /ee
