Filipino pride KZ Tandingan and Apl de Ap shared the stage at “Coke Studio’s” Season Two finale aired Sunday on ABS-CBN.
The two artists who have conquered the international stage performed an original song entitled “Homecomin’” dedicated to overseas Filipinos who are away from their families.
“It’s a conversation of longing and wanting to be with your family,” Apl said. “It’s a tribute to our hardworking OFWs.”
“Merong mga Pilipino na grabe yung sakripisyo para sa mga familya nila kaya sobrang importante samin na ikwento sa inyo through our song ang kanilang storya,” Tandingan added.
In the finale episode, Apl and Tandingan also sang their rendition of the latter’s 2017 pop song “Labo.”
Tandingan came to prominence when she won the first season of “The X Factor Philippines” in 2012.
The 26-year-old singer wowed the international stage when she became the first Filipino to represent the country in China’s singing competition “Singer.”
