Janno Gibbs broke his silence after not being included in ABS-CBN’s Christmas station ID “Family is Love” launched at “ASAP Natin ‘To” on Sunday.
“Throwback to Sept 12 this year when I signed w @starmusicph. Naalala ko lang. Sila yata di ako naalala e,” Gibbs wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.
He also wrote the hashtags “#wagnyokohanapinsastationid” and “#lakipanglogosalikod” in the Instagram photo.
While many fans expressed support for Gibbs, many were also curious about why the singer-songwriter wasn’t included in the network’s station ID.
A certain @0114_cm commented, “Ay oo nga bakit wala ka? Anu explanation nila??? Grabe naman unfair.”
Gibbs replied with the same uncertainty, saying “Di kasi ako network contract. Pero alam ko pag recording artist automatic kasali sa Station ID.”
Another netizen suggested that the singer-songwriter go back to his former network GMA: “Boss Janno balik ka nalang sa 7. Mag over da bakod ka na hehe.”
On his end, Gibbs said he could still work with GMA, but said the network did not give him any project: “Pwede Parin nmn ako 7 eh. Pero wala sila binibigay na work.”
Meanwhile, a netizen @ferarie17 said Gibbs should just “accept it with all your heart” and “stop posting anything like this.”
“I’m sorry, I feel u, but u still have to take it as it is. Be different from other artists out there who will just shout out anything on social media,” the netizen added.
Gibbs replied: “Showbiz can be rude. Sometimes u just have to fight back especially when u think u have a point.”
The singer-songwriter added that he’s normally a “patient and nice” person and it’s no big deal to wait for work.
“Pinaguusapan natin dito is that I signed up w Star music and I think that entitles me to their station id as one of their singers,” he said. /cbb
