Queen of All Media Kris Aquino revealed Wednesday she lost the chance to get the US series role after her “shoot for the moon” audition.
In an Instagram post, Aquino said the role went to an Asian American actress.
“Mahirap talaga pag hindi “boto” ang mga anak ko- especially Bimb…” she wrote in the caption.
She admitted she wasn’t suited to play the role: “The role was for a sassy, sarcastic, sexy bartender (truth, i know- HINDI BAGAY) but i was ready to take a MIXOLOGY crash course.”
Aquino also said she didn’t drink alcohol considering her medical condition: “I don’t drink alcohol at all because of my hypertension, anti anxiety, multivitamin, vitamin D and iron supplement, and most importantly the 4 different antihistamines taken as daily maintenance.”
Nonetheless, she said “It was FUN to try though.”
Aquino recently shared a snippet of her audition in the “multi-ethnicity” production, describing it as a “leap of faith.”
She was last seen in her role of a princess in the movie version of Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians released last August. /cbb
