Talent manager Lolit Solis enumerated the reasons why Filipinos are luckier as compared to the citizens of other countries, adding that the only thing that will ensure the peace in the country is the eradication of illegal drugs.

Solis took to Instagram yesterday, Nov. 4, to first express her thoughts on the migrant crisis.

(If you are going to compare our country to what is happening today to other countries Salve, it seems you will be happy that our situation is better than theirs.)

Solis then cited the news she has been hearing repeatedly: people who flee their respective countries to migrate, the heightened security at the Mexico border and the refugees who drown in the ocean because the countries they fled to would not accept them. She said hearing about these news makes one feel lucky that Filipinos have their own country — that they do not need to escape the country they are currently in for a better life and that they feel secure.

“Hindi nga lang makontento ang marami, kahit ano complaint pa rin ang ginagawa but when you see the sad situation of the other[s], then makikita mo na nasa much better situation tayo.”

(We have a lot to be thankful for, that although some things are not going well, still our situation is better. Unfortunately, many are not content. They keep on complaining, but when you see the sad situation of the others, then you’ll see that we are in a better situation.)

“Kaya nga we should be thankful and pray more.”

(God still loves us, that perhaps our prayers are more powerful. But of course, there are still people who are really evil, that’s why there are still those who are hurting. Once drugs are eradicated, I’m sure we will be at peace. That’s why we should be thankful and pray more.) JB
