To say Korina Sanchez was shocked was an understatement when she saw former Beatles member Paul McCartney in the same hotel she and her husband, politician Manuel “Mar” Roxas, were staying in.
Sanchez is currently in Japan with Roxas for a belated celebration of their ninth wedding anniversary which was on Oct. 27.
“And guess who is in town for a two-day concert, just in time for our anniversary?” she wrote on Instagram yesterday, Oct. 31. “Sir Paul McCartney, staying in the same hotel!”
McCartney is in Japan for a two-day concert, yesterday and today at Tokyo Dome.
While seeing the former Beatles bassist surely made Sanchez’s stay in Japan worthwhile, nothing can beat the happiness she felt when she was reunited with her husband. The two were unable to mark their ninth wedding anniversary together on the exact date as Roxas had been in Japan and Sanchez was in Hong Kong.
Celebrations of all kinds require sustenance and the couple decided that a traditional Japanese dinner is a must, as seen in Sanchez’s Instagram Stories yesterday.

Sanchez proudly divulged that her husband treated her to a hotel room with the nicest view possible.

Today, they started their morning right by jogging around the Imperial Palace.
“I take a photo of him…” said Sanchez.
