Kylie Padilla had the time of her life re-exploring Vigan, Ilocos Sur with her fiancé Aljur Abrenica and their one-year-old son Alas.
“Getting to explore Vigan again was so special for me,” wrote Padilla on Instagram today, Oct. 30. “I have very precious memories here with my family and that trip was what ignited my interest in the past, our national history and ancient architecture. It is also what opened my eyes to the importance of traveling.”
“There is something so magical about stepping into a place that has survived hundreds of years,” she said. “It really is a kind of therapy and a way to see the world through a different lens and on a different scope.”
Padilla’s adventure will not be complete without the presence of Abrenica. Padilla shared sweet photos of them at Saint Augustine Parish Church, also known as Bantay Church.
The couple made sure they have a photo of themselves at the historic belfry of the church, called Bantay Tower.
They also professed their love by wearing rings made from what looks like leaves.
Of course, their Vigan getaway also included their son Alas, whose delight at the place was captured by his parents.
Doting father Abrenica stayed by his son’s side when Alas sat at a sidewalk at Calle Crisologo.
He also accompanied the toddler during a kalesa ride.
And a family photo is a must on any family trip. Safe travels! JB
