Kris Aquino admitted that she is guilty of oversharing on Instagram. The Queen of All Media also warned her fans that her account on the said platform may be hacked.

Aquino took to Instagram today, Oct. 30, to tell her fans that her account may be compromised. She uploaded a text photo bearing the words: “Every other night I’ve received an Instagram security code. It’s pathetic that even my IG account is now a target for theft.”

Instagram has a security feature called two-factor authentication. Once set up, the user will be asked to enter a security code or confirm one’s login attempt, each time someone tries accessing Instagram from a device it does not recognize.

“Thank goodness @instagram has implemented several layers of user protection and safeguards against identity theft,” wrote Aquino. “In the unfortunate event that this feed does get hacked and you may read posts totally alien to what I have been sharing for six years, you now know why.”

Aquino stated that her Instagram account has become her journal and the “closest to an autobiography” she will have the opportunity to write, as the platform allows her to pen “many painful yet realistic aspects” about her life. She noted that baring her soul in the platform has been “cathartic.”

“Yes, I am guilty of oversharing but I prefer for all of you to get the facts straight from me,” she said. “Because life is really too short to be lived with edited truths.”

She ended her post by sharing a quote she recently read: “Remember you will never be happy if you continue to hold on to the things that make you sad.” JB
