“1st time walking after a week and a bit!” he said in a tweet.
He shared a picture of himself juggling a football on Instagram and revealed details of his recovery.
“It’s my first day of physiotherapy and it’s a long road until I’ll be able to be back to this,” he said, referring to the sport.
Paterson crashed into a concrete barrier along the Roxas Boulevard service road in Manila while he was on his motorcycle. He said he hadn’t seen the barrier, even as eyewitnesses noted that his lights were off.
He revealed last Oct. 16 that he had an eight-hour operation on Monday, Oct. 15, that should have been only two hours.
“A few complications but thank you Lord nagising ako (I woke up),” he said.
Celebrity friends including Sue Ramirez and Iñigo Pascual were among Paterson’s visitors cheering him up during his hospital stay.
Ramirez encouraged her friend during his first physiotherapy session: “1st time standing after more than a week! You got this bespren!” /ra
