Musician, composer and conductor Ryan Cayabyab is the country’s newest National Artist for Music, said singer and actress Lea Salonga on Tuesday via Twitter.

“Kay ganda ng ating musika… dahil nariyan ka! Congratulations to our dearest Ryan Cayabyab, our country’s newest National Artist for Music!!! Maraming salamat sa mga awiting iyong nilikha upang mapaawit ang ating bansa!!!” Salonga said.
