Jodi Sta. Maria is once again celebrating another milestone in her life—she is now a certified acupuncture detoxification specialist.
The “Sana Dalawa ang Puso” actress looked proud as she showed off her certificate of completion from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association on Instagram Friday.
She shared that after undergoing a week of intense training, she found a “better appreciation” for those who practice it.
“When you start your day healing people from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you realize that this is hard work,” she wrote. “t is when we meet others’ needs that our needs are [satisfied] in the process. By healing an individual, you heal a community.”
Sta. Maria added that during her training, she met new people and made new friends “who I know will eventually become family because we share the same advocacy.”
” I am truly grateful for all that I have learned here and I am fired up to share it with you!” she ended her post.
Her followers soon flooded congratulatory messages on her post, with one even calling her an inspiration.

Sta. Maria is also currently taking up psychology at the Southville International Schools and Colleges in Las Piñas, where she was named a top student in her class twice. /ra
