Regine Velasquez has officially bade goodbye to GMA Network, an executive of the network affirmed Saturday.
“After two decades, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid has officially said her goodbyes to the Kapuso Network,” GMA Network’s Senior Vice President and Entertainment Group Head Lilybeth Rasonable said in an official statement.
The announcement came a day after ABS-CBN confirmed Friday that the Asia’s songbird is set to perform in the “ASAP Live in Sydney” on October 20.

“We understand her decision to join her husband and we wish her well as she pursues other opportunities outside GMA Network,” Rasonable said.

This development would probably conclude speculations about Velasquez’s rumored move to GMA’s rival network, ABS-CBN, albeit confirmation about the network switch from the singer herself has yet to happen.
Velasquez, however, attended the recent ABS-CBN Ball with her crooner-songwriter husband Ogie Alcasid, who became a Kapamilya in 2016. During the annual star-studded event, Velasquez was photographed with ABS-CBN network’s bigwigs and artists. /kga
