LOOK: Erik Matti bids goodbye to ‘Darna’ Liza Soberano

Director Erik Matti bade goodbye to “Darna” lead star Liza Soberano on Wednesday, Oct. 10, in an Instagram post.

As the director who had worked on “Darna” for five years, Matti posted a photo with Soberano and her talent manager Ogie Diaz with caption: “Thank you for this dinner. If there’s anyone who deserves a proper goodbye, it’s you @lizasoberano.”

Matti said he hopes to work with Soberano in the future and added: “Now go fly and kick some fu%$kin’ villain’s ass!”

The 20-year-old actress also shared on Wednesday an Instagram photo with the director and said: “Thank you so much for everything direk @erikmatti!!! This dinner really meant alot to me.”

The “Buy Bust” and “OTJ” director stepped down as director of “Darna” on Oct. 4, citing “creative differences” with Star Cinema. He was replaced by director Jerrold Tarog on Oct. 5. /jpv
