WATCH: Clint Eastwood as US’ oldest drug runner in ‘The Mule’

Having wowed the Oscars Academy and generated a $550 million box-office with “American Sniper”, Bradley Cooper and Clint Eastwood are teaming up again for true-life crime drama “The Mule”.

This time, it’s Eastwood in front of the camera in a starring role, as well as maintaining his position in the director’s chair, while Cooper plays support along with Taissa Farmiga (“American Horror Story”), Michael Peña (who was with Cooper in “American Hustle”), Laurence Fishburne (“John Wick 2”) and more.

The film is based on the true story of Leo Sharp (a character called Earl Stone in “The Mule”).

Sharp was a World War II vet and Bronze Star recipient who, as his once world-famous flower-growing farm faced foreclosure, was put in touch with the Sinaloa Cartel, for whom he ended up transporting cocaine on legendarily long haul routes.

A Dec. 14 release has been announced for United States theaters. JB
