Claudia Barretto, Jayda to perform in Aaron Carter’s Manila concert

Aaron Carter will have local guests onstage for his Manila concert in November: singers Claudia Barretto and Jayda.

Jayda, the 15-year-old daughter of singer-politician Dingdong Avanzado and singer-actress Jessa Zaragoza, made the announcement on her Instagram account. The pop singer shared the concert poster featuring both her and Barretto in it.

Even at her young age, Jayda has already opened for an international act in Manila, particularly Niall Horan, last June for the former One Direction member’s Flicker World Tour.

Barretto, 19, was also born to a showbiz family. She began pursuing a career in music in 2016 and has released songs that are a mix of pop and RnB.

Carter gained fame as a ’90s child pop star with hits “I Want Candy” and “Crush on You.” “LØVË” was released in February 2018 and is his fifth studio album. His Manila concert is on Nov. 18 at the New Frontier Theatre (formerly Kia Theatre) in Quezon City.  /ra
