Dubbed as the “Asia’s Phoenix,” Morissette Amon performed a Filipino and Korean song at the Asia Song Festival on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Held at Busan, South Korea, she performed her original song “Throwback” from 2015 self-titled album and her own rendition of “Resignation” by South Korean singer Lee Young Hyun.
“I wanted to challenge myself and do something I’ve never really done before,” Morissette said after singing her first song during the performance.
She started singing “Resignation” in its English version, but continued with the Korean version at the song’s climax.
Her powerful performance was streamed on V-Live, a South Korean live video streaming application widely used by Korean celebrities and was re-uploaded on Youtube by Morissette’s fan pages.
Morissette shared the stage with Korean groups like Wanna One, SEVENTEEN, Red Velvet, Momoland among others.
K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN even shared a photo with Amon backstage on their official Twitter account.
