Pia Wurtzbach sees her recently opened studio as a place for training not only beauty queens but also artists.

The Empire Studio Philippines, located at Taguig City, opened its doors to the public last Sept. 27. Wurtzbach and her longtime mentor and manager Jonas Gaffud are among its shareholders, reports Push.

More than just a training ground for beauty queens, Wurtzbach saw the new studio as a place where anyone can train to improve their acting, dancing and modeling skills. She said the new studio was a natural progression for the Mercator model agency “to share it not just to actors, to models, to beauty queens, but also for anyone who just wants to try it out. So this is the place to do that.”

Empire will also have classes for speech, acting, dancing, modeling and pageant coaching, and grooming.

“If you want to improve yourself, this is the place to do that,” said Wurtzbach.

As for aspiring beauty queens, they will get the opportunity to learn from the Miss Universe 2015 winner herself. Wurtzbach will participate in select workshops where she can give pep talks, tips and more to help aspirants win the coveted crown.  Alfred Bayle /ra
