Carl Pempengco tells mom Raquel to let Jake Zyrus be: ‘Family is inevitable’

The family saga continues for Raquel Pempengco and her child Jake Zyrus.
After going back and forth with each other, Pempengco had nothing to say more to Zyrus but to pray for him. This she posted on her Facebook Tuesday.
“Kung aangat ka sa ginawa mong yan, hahayaan lang kitang babuyin mo pagkatao ko, kung yan ang mag aangat sa sarili mo,” Pempengco told her estranged child. “Di ko [kailangang] sumikat, basta kung naging masaya ka sa ginawa mong yan.”
(I will let you tarnish me if that will uplift you.) (I don’t need to become famous, just for you to be happy in what you are doing.)
She added that she had nothing more to do but to let her do what Zyrus was doing against her. Pempengco only wishes, “Wag lang darating ang panahon na iiyak ka at pagsisihan mo dahil sa ginawa mong yan (I hope the day won’t come when you will cry and regret what you did).”

In the comments, her son and Zyrus’ brother Carl told his mom: “Hayaan nalang natin sya. Family is inevitable di nya pwedeng gawin to forever.” (Just let him be. Family is inevitable he can’t do this to us forever.)

Once and for all, Pempengco said she just wants all things to die down and be silent.

Zyrus recently released his memoir “I Am Jake” in which he recounts his transformation into a trans man, as well as documents how he supposedly suffered under Pempengco physical and emotional abuse him as a child. /ra
