Bryan Revilla described himself as a naturally shy person, but he really could just not deny his love for acting.
The actor admitted to being a reluctant actor during an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last night, Sept. 21, which also featured his mom Lani Mercado as guest.
“Mahiyain ako, that’s why. Very shy. But then again, acting has a special place in my heart and I haven’t done it in 10 years but now I have the chance to actually do it,” said Revilla.

Revilla will make his comeback as one of the three leading actors in the upcoming action film “Tres” alongside brothers Jolo and Luigi.
The actor went on hiatus ten years ago to focus on his studies. He took up consular diplomatic affairs at the College of St. Benilde and found employment after graduation.
“Prinioritize ko muna yung studies ko tapos eventually, imbes na makabalik ako sa showbiz nagtrabaho na lang ako,” he narrated.

Having been away from the showbiz spotlight for some time, Revilla had to undergo workshops and lose weight to fit his character Virgo. There is pressure since “Tres” is the first movie where he takes on a leading role.
“We had workshops, pero yung pinaka-tasking na trabaho na ginawa ko (but the most tasky job I had to do) is to watch lots of movies. I had to watch countless films,” recalled Revilla.
Revilla also explained how he tends to put extra effort when it comes to his craft, which fans apparently noticed based on their reactions on the “Tres” trailer.
“That’s a very nice thing to hear. I hope na sana ano nga, na magaling nga ako,” the actor said jokingly.

“Tres” will open in cinemas on Oct. 3. It also stars Rhian Ramos, Assunta de Rossi and Joey Marquez. Alfred Bayle/JB
