Kristen Bell confirmed the return of her TV series “Veronica Mars” on Hulu by 2019.

The actress confirmed the information through a Twitter video posted today, Sept. 21. She also noted that all past episodes of “Veronica Mars” would be available for streaming come summer 2019.

Bell said “marshmallows,” or fans of the “Veronica Mars” franchise, will be able to stream and rewatch older episodes to brush up before the new eight-episode season becomes available.

The last entry for the “Veronica Mars” franchise came out on March 14, 2014, through a crowdfunded film produced by Bell and series creator Rob Thomas. On the other hand, the TV series ended its broadcast on May 22, 2007, after season 3. The series premiered on Sept. 22, 2004, with a 22-episode first season.

Thomas, who is also a screenwriter, initially wrote “Veronica Mars” with a male protagonist. He later changed this because he thought a noir piece would be more interesting and original when told from a female perspective.

Bell first hinted at a revival of the “Veronica Mars” franchise back in October 2017. At the time, the actress said she and Thomas were in constant contact and there was a lot of willingness to continue the story. However, Bell could not commit fully to the production of a new season due to her involvement with another TV series titled “The Good Place.”  /ra
