LOOK: Regine Tolentino pens touching letter for daughter Reigen’s 18th birthday

To celebrate her daughter Reigen’s 18th birthday, actress Regine Tolentino wrote a heartfelt letter enumerating the things she loves about her child.
“It has been a joy seeing you grow, from my precious, beautiful little white monkey to a simple, sweet and loving little girl with gorgeous hair that I love to braid,” wrote Tolentino on Instagram on Friday, Sept. 14. “You are one who never asks for material things and you choose not to be in the limelight and be the object of attention.”

Tolentino said that although Reigen is humble, her inner and outer beauty never fails to shine through. “What else can a mom ask for?” said Tolentino.
“I also love it how you’re such a joker!” she revealed. “I think everyone should know that you do such great impersonations! I seriously think you can be a stand-up comedian one day!”
Reigen is apparently the joker of the family, making her mother laugh out loud with her “go to” videos as well as her throwback jokes. She is also creative, taking nice shots and editing videos. Tolentino takes pride that her daughter is very much like her — Reigen has a great fashion sense, is very talented in design and the arts, and is also a marvelous dancer.
Tolentino divulged that Reigen makes sure her loved ones feel her love by making long letters, personalized posters and albums during holidays, and whenever there are special occasions. Reigen also follows a strict study schedule for herself, which helps her maintain her honor student status.
“My dear, sweet, precious Reigen, Mama loves you so much,” Tolentino said. “I am so blessed that God sent me an angel like you who brings everyone happiness, joy, fulfillment, content and pride. I can’t be any more proud of the outstanding young lady you have become. You give me reason, you give me life!”
“Thank you my baby for being you: simple, sweet, loving and with a heart of gold. You are loved, admired, and appreciated my darling,” she continued. “Go forth and live your life to the fullest. Your kind heart deserves all the best this world has to offer. I love you to infinity and beyond!”
In a separate post, Tolentino uploaded photos of her and Reigen alongside her other daughter, Reigne, during the concert of British-Albanian singer Dua Lipa at the Mall of Asia last Friday, Sept. 14.

Reigen and Reigne are Tolentino’s daughters with ex-husband Lander Vera-Perez. The two wed in 1997. In 2016, Tolentino confirmed they have parted ways. JB
