Myrtle Sarrosa considers the film “Wander Bra,” wherein she plays the lead role, a dream come true after six years of waiting.
Sarrosa explained in an exclusive interview with Push that her love of superheroes and hobby of cosplaying made being the lead actress in “Wander Bra” all the more special.
“Everyone knows that I started with cosplay,” said the actress. “Up until now nag-ko-cosplay pa rin ako so dream ko talaga i-bring to life yung mga comic book characters, mga superheroes.”
(Up until now I still cosplay, so it’s really my dream to bring comic book characters and superheroes to life.)
She added, “So dream come true na yung pinaka-una kong film isang superhero film.”
(So it’s really a dream come true that my first film is a superhero film.)
The 23-year-old actress recalled how she considered quitting show biz at one point. She ultimately decided to soldier on because acting was something she felt passionate about.
“Kasi nag-e-enjoy naman ako (It’s because I enjoy myself) when I go to shootings, when I go to tapings, when I go to events. I love what I do,” said Sarrosa.
“Wander Bra” premiered on Tuesday, Sept. 11. It opened in cinemas the next day. Directed by Joven Tan, the movie also stars Kakai Bautista, Zeus Collins, Lassy Marquez, Wacky Kiray, Brian Gazmen and Gardo Versoza. Alfred Bayle /ra
