Multi-hyphenate artist Paolo Ballesteros showcased one of his many talents again on social media, a sight that was marveled at and admired by his manifold fans. Apart from being a regular favorite in noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” actor and comedian Ballesteros is also famous for his makeup transformations that saw him turn into Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie and Anne Hathaway, among many others, with just the power of his makeup brush.

Being the great-grandson of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo, it wasn’t surprising that Ballesteros, too, has tried his hand at resin painting.

The terno competition of the Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant took place on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Ascott-Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Ballesteros again took to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 12, this time sharing a video of Romero wearing the gown he designed for her during the competition. In the video, Romero can be seen on stage wearing a terno gown with white sleeves and a black skirt. She, too, was wearing a sun and 3-star crown.

The surprise, however, was unveiled when Romero unwrapped her black skirt to show off its inside, featuring a blue-and-red ruffled addition that completed the whole look of her white terno gown—a homage to the Philippine flag.

Yehey! Eto na!” announced Ballesteros. “Kulang lang ng L sa last name ko hehe. Very good @agatharomero.”

Romero, on her end, was honored to wear Ballesteros’ creation, taking to Instagram on Sept. 12 to share pictures of her wearing the gown.

She wrote, “I am truly honored to wear this masterpiece by @pochoy_29, @jianlasala and @ipsemira. Plus, the head piece by Sir @manny.halasan.”

“Thank you for trusting me to wear your first (known) creation, Kuya Paolo!” Romero said in gratitude. “I am so proud to see you finally rocking the fashion industry. You are a great artist, indeed.”

The grand coronation night of Mutya ng Pilipinas will take place this coming Sunday, Sept. 16.  /ra
