Before she even sashays into the Miss Universe pageant, Catriona Gray walked during New York Fashion Week for Sherri Hill.
Sherri Hill is best known for sequined gowns used as evening wear on pageants and has asked Miss Universe winners such as Pia Wurtzbach and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters to appear in her fashion shows.
Gray modeling for New York Fashion Week stands out then as she has only been crowned this year as Miss Universe Philippines.
The 24-year-old took to the catwalk in Gotham Hall twice, working the runway in a sparkly pink halter gown and a yellow number with a cape.

Gray appeared stoic during her walk, but deep inside she was in disbelief. She said on Instagram: “When I got the call back in Manila I was incredulous, to be flown to NYC to work with @sherrihill [Sherri Hill] – I couldn’t believe it, ako ba (is it really me)? Bakit ako (Why me)?”
Based on her catwalk on the streets of New York City, it was clear why the designer chose Gray.
In a two-piece periwinkle Sherri Hill number, Gray smiled confidently into the camera as she strutted across a pedestrian lane.
She has had much experience on the runway; after all, she was previously a top five finalist at Miss World in 2016. Fans hope that this stint with Sherri Hill is a good omen of her chances in Miss Universe which will be held in Thailand in December. JB
