Former child star Makisig Morales is indeed a child no more after he popped the question to his girlfriend, Miss Earth Australia Charity 2017 and New South Wales (NSW) State Finalist for Miss World Australia 2017, Nicole Watts in Sydney, Australia.
“He stole my heart, so I’m stealing his last name,” wrote the half-Australian, half-Filipino beauty queen and model in an Instagram post yesterday, Sept. 1. Alongside her post is a photo of her and Morales’ hands, with her left hand showcasing her engagement ring.
It seems Morales popped the question during a romantic meal with Watts. On a plate decorated with sweets, the words “Will you marry me?” is written.
Morales confirmed the engagement on his Instagram page on the same day. Uploading a photo of himself and Watts, he introduced Watts as his fiancée.
Morales first posted an Instagram photo of him and Watts on Aug. 26.
Watts also posted a couple photo on the same day. Trapped in what appears to be giant bird cages, the couple made it look like they were reaching out to each other after being separated.
“Fight for the fairy tale it does exist,” Watts captioned.
Before dating Nicole Watts, Makisig Morales was in a five-year relationship with ex-girlfriend Vianne Lacay. Morales has not yet specified when he and Lacay broke up nor when did his relationship with Watts begun, as of this writing.
But as per an exclusive ABS-CBN/Push interview on Aug. 13, the actor confirmed the breakup with Lacay, while also mentioning that a factor in their breakup may be their being both busy with their careers. JB
