Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan got engaged to her boyfriend, actor Jay Hector, on Thursday.
The beauty queen, known for being a best friend to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, made the big announcement on Instagram. “He got down on one knee and asked if I could love him forever,” Jordan wrote, as she posted a photo of her kissing her new fiancé. “Forever doesn’t even seem like enough.”
Jordan shared another photo of her from the special moment, this time looking overwhelmed as Hector plants her a kiss on the cheek. She added that not only does she get to marry her “dream man” but also wear her “dream ring” co-designed by her fiancé.
Photographer Kate Moore took shots of the moment Hector got down on his knee and proposed. She said of the couple: “It’s been so much fun planning this with you these past few months and my heart is so full witnessing the love you two share.”
In his own Instagram account, Hector wrote: “I am still on cloud nine after my one true love @theoliviajordan (Olivia Jordan) said yes!”
Jordan’s best friend Wurtzbach expressed her happiness for the beauty queen, saying “I’m so kiliiiiiig (excited) for you!!” In reply, the Miss USA 2015 titleholder said “Crying all the happy tears!”
Other Filipino beauty queens also poured their love for Jordan. Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago and Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa all congratulated Jordan.
Aside from winning Miss USA, Jordan was also the Miss Universe second runner-up back in 2015. She is now a host, actress and model. /ra
