It looks like August has been the month of revelations, with lots celebrities surprising their fans with news that they are either pregnant or engaged. Adding to the list of celebrities with good news to share, “Pinoy Dream Academy” alumna Liezel Garcia announced her engagement with her American vlogger and skateboarder boyfriend, Justin Eagle.
“Baby I really don’t know how to start this post, coz I feel like I’m still dreaming at this moment,” wrote Garcia via Instagram last Saturday, Aug. 25. She uploaded a photo of them together, proudly showing her engagement ring. “I can’ believe I will have this precious moment. I thought I’ll be alone in my life… but here’s God, never fails to surprise me and love me!”

Garcia later thanked Eagle for loving and choosing her, as well as for making her feel beautiful. She revealed that her boyfriend encouraged and supported her in everything that she does.
“Thank you for loving me and being faithful and loyal even while being in a long distance relationship,” Garcia said. “Thank you for everything bear and yes, I love you much Justin! Can’t wait baby.”
Eagle posted the same photo on his Instagram account, @justineagle, recounting how Garcia thought they were only supposed to take photos when he popped the question. He said that he will upload a video of the surprise proposal soon.
“It’s was on the sandy beaches of Puerto [Galera] on a sunny morning that I asked my best friend to spend the rest of her life with me,” he stated. “I am forever grateful God brought the most beautiful person into my life. I am so blessed to call her my everything. I love you princess.”
Garcia’s fans were quick to congratulate the couple. Her celebrity friends, including Yeng Constantino, Klarisse De Guzman and KZ Tandingan took to the comment section of Garcia’s post to express their happiness for their friend’s engagement. Garcia’s ex-boyfriend, singer Bugoy Drilon, also congratulated her and Eagle.

Drilon and Garcia had been together for three years before calling it quits in 2013. The two remained good friends.
Three years later, Garcia started dating Eagle. The two have been in a long-distance relationship. Eagle apparently is part of Drilon’s circle of friends, as stated by Liezel in an interview with Push in 2016.
Earlier this month, Eagle flew to the Philippines to finally meet Garcia face to face.
