While BTS has a full schedule on their upcoming US tour, the act’s special engagement with The Grammy Museum is the focus of fans’ attention.

On Friday, The Grammy Museum announced that BTS would attend an event hosted by the museum on Sept. 11 in Los Angeles, during which the mega-popular K-pop act will have an exclusive conversation with Scott Goldman, the museum’s artistic director. While there won’t be a performance, the act will talk in depth about their new album, “Love Yourself: Answer,” and about life as a K-pop star. Tickets are already sold out.

Music critics around the world have often pondered when BTS might take the Grammy stage. They mention impressive feats such as the band hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the “Love Yourself: Tear” album and No. 10 on the Hot 100 with the smash hit “Fake Love.” One of the band’s outstanding goals is to win a Grammy Award.

FEATURED STORIES

The idea of BTS winning a Grammy isn’t so far-fetched, considering the lengthy article on the Grammy website detailing the band’s achievements. Energized BTS fans have responded by launching a petition on change.org, asking the Grammy Foundation to invite BTS to the 61st Grammy Awards in 2019.

Having wrapped up their two-day Seoul leg of their “Love Yourself” world tour on Sunday, BTS will kick off their US tour Oct. 7, which will include the first-ever stadium show by a Korean act at Citi Field in New York City. It will then continue on to London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
