“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” is being called out by fans of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera for the show’s alleged use and editing of the couple’s wedding photo as well as of the family’s photo during the baptism of their daughter, Zia.

“Zia’s photo was unethically used by ‘Ang Probinsyano’ in Nov. 2017,” wrote one Twitter fan page dedicated to Zia, ZiaDantesFanSite‏ (@ZDantesFanSite), last Thursday, Aug. 9. “In last night’s episode, [Dingdong and Marian] DongYan’s photo was edited and used again by the show. Were the photos of Dingdong, Marian and Zia used [and] edited without permission? Dear Ang Probinsyano, strike two na po kayo ah (you’re strike two now).”

Alongside the post pointing out the alleged use of the photos of the Dantes family, the fan page supported its claim by uploading a video of the scenes where the supposed photos were used for the show.

In a scene during Aug. 8, 2018’s episode, Alice Dixson can be seen crying. Eagle-eyed DongYan fans were quick to point out that the photo displayed beside Dixson was an edited photo of Rivera and Dantes’ wedding photo. The power couple’s faces were allegedly edited and changed to the faces of Dixson and Edu Manzano.

The fan page stated that it was not the first time “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” used a photo of the family. It also called out the show for “unethically” using Zia’s photo in an episode in November last year. The television show supposedly used a photo of the family taken during Zia’s baptism, but editing Rivera and Dantes’ faces and replacing these with the faces of Mickey Ferriols and Joko Diaz. It was worth noting that Zia’s face was not changed or blurred.

The tweet was reposted by a fan page of the couple, Team Dantes (@thedongyanantics), via Instagram on the same day. Fans tagged the couple and it was at this point that Dantes may have been made aware of the matter.

“Please send me the clip,” commented Dantes on the reposted video. “Thank you for pointing this out. I will take it from here.”

Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera and the team of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” are yet to comment or issue an official statement on the matter, as of this writing. JB
