It’s not every day you meet your favorite personalities, rarer still if they’re “Avengers” stars Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch and Karen Gillan. For funnyman Michael V, however, meeting such people comes with the job and now, he can add Disney animator Mark Henn too under his belt after he met the latter last July in Parañaque, Manila.

Henn was in Manila for the AsiaPOP Comicon, which was held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay from July 27 to 29. Henn is famous for his work for many beloved Disney films, creating characters such as Ariel from “The Little Mermaid”, Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”, Fa Mulan and Pocahontas in their namesake films, as well as the young Simba in “The Lion King”.

Michael V took to his Instagram last July 28 to share to his manifold fans about his meeting with Henn in the HYATT City of Dreams resort. In the picture, Michael V can be seen holding up a sketch of Mulan beside Henn, who was holding up a sketch of himself.

“Art swap with Mark Henn!” gushed Michael V. “Kung kilala n’yo sina  (If you know) Mulan, Ariel, Tiana, Jasmine at si Belle from DISNEY, magpasalamat tayo kay (let’s thank) Mark Henn!”

Michael V took close-up photos of the sketches that he and Henn shared with each other. On his end, Michael V sketched a portrait of a pensive-looking Henn. Henn’s sketch, meanwhile, was an array of characters he created in the past, specifically Mulan, Ariel, Princess Tiana, Jasmine, Belle, young Simba, Mickey Mouse, and Winnie the Pooh, among others.

S’ya ang nag-design ng characters nila (He designed these characters)! I’m a fan of his works and I got to interview him thanks to @disneyphilippines [Disney Philippines]!” added Michael V.

This isn’t the first time Michael V has given a famous personality his own artwork. Back in April, Michael V gave Cumberbatch and Gillan — who play “Doctor Strange” and “Nebula” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — their own portaits, too.

These drawings were, as per Michael V, created only in 15 minutes.

Michael V, too, made a 15-minute sketch of Downey Jr., even appearing in the Hollywood celebrity’s Instagram carousel video at one point — an unforgettable moment that sent the comedian in a frenzy. NVG
