After netizens asked on social media if she was a lesbian, Kapamilya actress Sue Ramirez on Wednesday said she wasn’t.
The netizens’ questions about the 22-year-old actress’ sexuality came out after she started sporting a boy cut.
“Hindi ko po alam san nanggagaling ‘yang mga spekulasyon na ‘yan, pero hindi naman po basehan ang gupit ng isang tao para i-judge natin ang kanyang sekswalidad,” Sue said in her Wednesday guesting on Inquirer ShowbizLive together with “Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi” co-star Jameson Blake.
While Sue denies being a lesbian, she said she has no problem playing the role of one if given the chance.
“Wala naman pong problema I don’t see any problem with that. I don’t really sexualize people’s bodies. Wala ‘kong malisyang klase ng tao,” she said.
Meanwhile, Sue denied that rumors that she cut her hair super short because she was depressed.
“There’s a deeper and wider explanation for things and I think people should open their minds to it,” she said.
Sue said she was happy about her decision about her hair. “Isa siguro ‘to sa mga bagay na nagpasaya sa’kin, ‘yung haircut ko na ‘to. High school palang ako gusto ko na siya i-try, ngayon lang talaga nagkaroon ng chance,” she said.
“Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi” is an official entry to this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP).
The film, together with the rest of other PPP entries, will open nationwide starting August 15. /vvp
