LOOK: Kylie, Aljur’s baby Alas gets baptized; celebrates 1st birthday with jungle-themed-party

It was a special day for Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica’s son Alas Joaquin as he turned a year old on Saturday, Aug. 4. Not only did Alas had a fun-filled party, but his parents chose that day to have him baptized as well.

Little Alas had his baptism at the Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Quezon City. In one Instagram photo, the boy’s parents looked very proud as they witnessed their son being welcomed to the Christian world.

Abrenica said he “took time in choosing Alas’ ninongs,” who included his brothers Vin and Allen.

Also pictured were their son’s godmothers including fellow Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia.

In one photo, Alas was being held by Abrenica’s grandmother, Alice Guiang. He shared that his lola “even prepared the giveaways sa mga Ninong at Ninang (for the godmothers and godfathers).”

Alas’ day did not end there, as his friends and family gathered together for his first birthday, which was jungle-themed. Padilla posted one photo, where her son’s name was spelled out in big letters having light bulbs. In the background, animals such as a giraffe, zebra and lion were part of the decorations.

Padilla’s stepmom, Mariel, along with Robin and their little one Maria Isabella, also attended Alas’ special day.

Nadia Montenegro, too, joined the celebration, and even shared a candid photo of the 1-year-old with his lolo (grandfather) Robin.

Indeed, Alas’ big day will be treasured forever by him and his parents. Happy birthday and welcome to the Christian world, Alas!  /ra
