‘Citizen Jake’ pulled out from Cinemalaya 2018 line up; replaced by ‘Beast Mode’
Film director Mike de Leon’ critically acclaimed masterpiece “Citizen Jake” was earlier confirmed to festival organizers to be among this year’s movie line up.
But just days before the festival opened, it was suddenly pulled out.
It was replaced by social experiment documentary film “Beast Mode” by Baron Geisler and Kiko Matos.
“Citizen Jake” was originally slated for screening on August 5 (Sunday) at 6:15 p.m. “Beast mode” shall be taking over the schedule at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Little Theater.
Cinemalaya also announced that there would be movies open to the public and “Beast Mode” is among those up for a free screening.
Interested moviegoers only need to be an hour (or two) earlier at the venue to secure passes outside the Little Theater.
