It appears that no one can control Tom Hardy, thanks to an alien symbiote.
Hardy plays journalist Eddie Brock who investigates the corporate survivalist group Life Foundation, as seen in the new “Venom” trailer released yesterday, July 31.
The trailer showed Brock becoming uncontrollable as he smashes everything and everyone in his path. The journalist is also seen in scenes where he tries to fight off the symbiote, but the latter always wins.
The three-minute video also showed Michelle Williams, who plays district attorney Anne Weying. In one scene, she tells Brock, “You don’t know how much you’re scaring me right now,” possibly referring to the time she learned of Brock’s abilities.
Before the trailer’s wide release, fans who attended the San Diego Comic Con were treated to a first look of it.
“Venom” will be released by Sony in association with Marvel, and directed by Ruben Fleischer. The film is slated for release on Oct. 5 in the United States. JB
