“Paalam (Goodbye) Philippines,” he wrote. Accompanying him on the trip was his mom.
The Filipino-Italian actor said his goodbyes and thank yous on Instagram Stories to Star Magic and Star Cinema. He also reserved a touching message for his “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” housemates Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber.
“I don’t have words on how I feel about leaving you guys and not seeing you almost everyday, but starting from now I’m not gonna be there [for] you guys magtatampo sa isa’t isa (when you sulk at each other), so stop being jealous of each other and just love and take care of yourselves, I guess I’ll see you soon.”
Days before his departure, Gallo hinted at leaving in a July 25 Instagram post where he seemed nostalgic about joining the movie “Familia Blandina”. He referred to the project as his “last job.”
He told his young co-star Xia Vigor, “It hurts me not seeing you for a long time, but that’s why they created phones right?”

On his Instagram Stories, he answered the question that was on everyone’s mind: why was he leaving?
“I want to study,” was his simple response.
“If I stay in showbiz, I don’t have the time to study. If I go back, I have full-time job and study.”
Actress Ria Atayde sent him off with a sentimental post: “I want you to remember that you are loved and you are important and that I’ll be here for you… even though we’re miles apart.”
“Study hard and [please] don’t forget us out here,” she said.
“You are the best ate (big sister) so far,” Gallo replied.
It seems he’ll be back eventually, as he told ABS-CBN publicist Eric John Salut, “I’ll see you in a few years.”
