Walk the Moon, the American alternative rock band that hit it big with the joyously catchy dance ditty “Shut Up and Dance,” is scheduled to return to the Philippines for a mall gig, according to concert promoter MMI Live.
Composed of Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman and Eli Maiman, the group will perform at Market! Market! activity center on Aug. 14. (For ticket information, call the Ayala Malls One Concierge at 7959595.)
Walk the Moon, whose music is influenced by such acts as David Bowie, The Killers, Tears for Fears and The Police, is also behind the bops “Anna Sun” and “Work This Body.”
The band is currently promoting its fourth and latest studio album, “What If Nothing,” which features the anthemic lead single “One Foot.”—ALLAN POLICARPIO
