Kiana Valenciano ‘saved,’ reveals battling anxiety and depression
Kiana Valenciano revealed that 2016 was a “heavy year” for her as she battled anxiety and depression.
The singer and daughter of “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary V. made the revelation on her Instagram Thursday after someone asked her the story behind the tattoo on her nape. Today, two years later, Valenciano declares she is “saved.”
“I was dealing with anxiety and depression and reached the point where I didn’t even notice I was hurting myself physically,” the 25-year-old admitted.

Valenciano added that a friend of hers noticed the scratches and scars at the back of her neck. There and then, she realized that she was lost and needed help.
Article continues after this advertisement“2 years later, with the combined help of God, my family, amazing friends, and Sam (Concepcion), I’m able to deal with my anxiety in a healthier way,” she wrote. She proudly declared: “No more scratches! Just a reminder that I’m saved.”

Several messages of support poured in from netizens as well as from her mom Angeline and KC Concepcion. But a particular comment from @robsyounggg caught Valenciano’s attention.
The netizen opened up that he too was suffering from what she had gone through. “HINDI. MADALI (It’s not easy),” he expressed.
To comfort him, she gave her support: “I know the feeling. I still go through that. You’re not alone. Kaya natin ‘to (We can do it).”
