Aside from settling down this year, Mike Tan keeps receiving more blessings, the latest of which is that he will soon be a father.
The 31-year-old Kapuso actor shared his joy about the good news, as he posted a photo via Instagram of him resting his head on his wife’s growing belly, on Monday, July 16. To this day, Tan has not yet revealed the name of his partner.
Tan chose to caption the snap with a quote from the bible: “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.”
The actor’s fans and friends echoed his joy, as seen in the photo’s comments section. Fellow GMA talents Carla Abellana and Pancho Magno congratulated him.
The actor’s “Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka” co-star Yasmien Kurdi showed love for him through three heart emoji.
A netizen named @diannesdianne recalled a time when Tan supposedly answered “soon” to someone’s question on when he wants to have a baby: “Haha kasi soon naman talaga.” ([Laughs] because it really is soon.)
Tan tied the knot with his non-showbiz girlfriend of 12 years back in January, in his home province of Rizal. Tan gushed in an Inquirer report this February that his wife has been his crush way back when he was 10 years old, and had met her in a chapel.
“I always had intentions of pursuing her, but I didn’t feel I had the right to do so unless I get myself a job,” Tan revealed. JB
